Dating
In the text, the author-date and page number modality is used, in the case of a textual quotation.
Textual quote: the author's words are reproduced exactly.
If the quotation is up to 40 words, it is incorporated into the text in double quotation marks, without italics. More than 40 words, it is written apart from the text, in block, with indentation in 1 cm from both margins, without quotation marks, without italics and with single line spacing. The identification of the source will be according to the following example, if the style in parentheses is used: (Granadillo, 1998, p. 45) or the narrative style: ... Granadillo (1998, p. 45).
Paraphrase quote: when you tell, summarize or reorganize the author's ideas in your own words.
In this type of citation, the page number is not placed. Example: According to Granadillo (1998) or (Granadillo, 1998).
- If there are several works by the same author published in the same year, they will be ordered literally in alphabetical order; thus, (Granadillo, 2008a), (Granadillo, 2008b), Granadillo (2008a), Granadillo (2008b).
- If there are two authors, only the first surname of each one will be placed, for example: According to Pietri and Granadillo (2008) or (Pietri and Granadillo, 2008), following the same criterion explained above for textual quotations and paraphrases.
- In the case of three or more authors, the surname of the main author should be placed, followed by "et al.", for example: (Rincón et al., 2008).
- Quotations from unpublished or printed works should be avoided as far as possible, as well as references to private communications and documents of limited dissemination, unless strictly necessary.
- In the case of documentary, electronic or other sources that by their nature are unfeasible or complex for the adoption of the aforementioned author-date, suggested in these rules, the aforementioned at the bottom of the page may be resorted to or opted for.
References. References (bibliographic, periodical, oral and/or documentary) should be presented at the end of the text. The order of references is alphabetical by surname. The different works by the same author will be organized chronologically, in ascending order, and if there are two or more works by the same author and year, the strict alphabetical order by title will be maintained.
References will be made taking into account the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) in its 7th edition, available at: https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references and applying the guidelines established in this section.
They will refer only to those mentioned in the work. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of references.
